A VERY GOOD MONTH
Results in July, 2005, from Professional Gambler Newsletter, risking 1 'unit' per bet

     July was one of the best calendar months we've had in a long while. In our newsletter we had 160 MLB conclusions, plus 2 ties, and we made a profit of 32.8 units. A profit of 32.8 units over 160 bets is equal to a record of 101-59 when laying 11 to win ten (63+%). If you're using 2% of your bankroll as your bet size our newsletter figures to have increased your bankroll by more than 65% during July, and that doesn't include readjusting when your bankroll grew by 50 percent. We've posted the entire month's bet-by-bet results below. (Text continues below bet-by-bet results.)

July was NOT a typical month. Over the long term we expect a return on investment equal to winning between 55% and 58% when risking 11 to win ten. Actually, if July's level of results continued we would loosen our criteria in order to produce more plays and a lower winning percentage. A winning expectation of 63% is actually too high. Such a high percentage would mean we'd be passing those plays that return between 55% and 62% winners, and there's no reason to do that. Remember, it's not about winning percentages, it's about profit.
